Gift box tutorial

Video linked below

You will need 1 peice of 12 x12 card which you score at 1 7/8", 3 3/4", 8 1/4", 10 1/8" then rotate your card to the right and repeat.
Fold and burnish your score lines, you will now be able to see the beginnings of a grid.
Looking at the bottom right corner of the card stock you will see a square which is 2 squares across and 2 square up. Cut up the center score line of this square to the second scoreline, next repeat this step on the scoreline to the right of the one you just cut.
Place the cardstock in front of you, looking at the square you have just been cutting, completely remove the first 2 squares nearest the righthand edge of the cardstock. This leaves you with 1 strip, cut away the bottom square on this strip. Repeat this step around the card.
For ease of folding you also need to remove small slithers off the side of each tab as it is done including the longer oblong sections that will appear.
Put double sided tape on the single squares then flip your template over and put double sided tape on the oblong sections.
Remove the release papers and start folding in your single square tabs ensuring the corners are flush before sticking in place. Lastly remove the release papers on the oblong sections and fold over so they adhere to the inside wall of the box. This is now a reinforced box.

For the lid you need a peice of cardstock measuring 7 5/8" x 7 5/8". Score at 3/4", 1 1/2", 6 1/8" and 6 7/8" then repeat the process you used to make the main box and you will end up with a lid for the box.
